  1.                      MAINTENANCE OF THE KERATOMETER

  4. The most common maintenance that must be 
  5. done is replacement of the bulb.  The bulb is 
  6. located in the housing under the front of the 
  7.                                              main body of the 
  8.                                              instrument.

  16.                                           To remove the housing, turn the main body        
  17.                                           of the instrument to the side and loosen                
  18.                                           the two thumb screws that hold it in place.             
  19.                                           Hold the housing and remove the bulb.  
  20.                                           Replace the bulb, put the housing back and 
  21.                                           secure it with the thumb screws.
